bitcoin core – Very gradual sync on low finish PC – what to improve?

[Hi, I have to re-ask this question because I cannot recover my account from the last one. Sorry about that.]

I’m a beginner to bitcoin. I’m attempting to sync a full node on my low finish PC: 2g RAM, dual-core 2ghz, 250 gb common HDD. Recent set up Linux. It’s in pruned mode. The web connection checks at 5mb obtain/1mb add pace. The preliminary 15% synced in a couple of days however now the method is fluctuating wildly round 2-7 weeks. It has been on for a month & is just at 35% proper now… Suffice to say it is rather gradual.

My most important questions are: how a lot will including some RAM enhance the syncing pace? And can including new RAM reset the blockchain obtain? Additionally, I’ve heard repeatedly that utilizing a SSD HD will assist. Is there a method to carry over my current 35% progress onto the SSD, or do I’ve to re-start the method?

I’ve already adjusted these settings: dbcache=900, banscore=10, pay attention=0, server=1 (upnp=0 additionally reveals up on the bitcoin core gui/choices, however not within the config file.). I do not actually perceive what these settings do, I’m simply going off suggestions. So hopefully they’re good(?).

I’m fearful that placing within the RAM will “reset” the blockchain obtain and I should begin syncing from 0% once more. This already occurred to me after I was tinkering with the dbcache setting – Which I should do once more with a view to make the most of any new RAM. (proper?)

Anyway I hope that was coherent. Any response may be very appreciated. 🙂
